23S RNA

Here you can browse through the computed characteristics for 23S rRNA, analogously to 16S rRNA. The measurement was calculated in a maximally overlapping manner. You can view any part of the plot by selecting and clicking a display range on the upper green strip with 23S rRNA numbering. The green strip represents the entire 23S rRNA sequence. The blue scales denote the observed region. You can use the numerical fields to precisely set the displayed region. You can also inspect the exact values of the measures at different positions upon moving your mouse in the plots field. For details about the displayed characteristics see About.
We have not performed the molecular dynamics of the large ribosomal subunit. Therefore, while plotting we have replaced RMSF with B-factor. Opening energy was computed for the 2qba structure. H-bonds, stacking and SASA are computed for static structure of 23S rRNA (PDB id: 4v9d ).
Displayed range:
Functional sites: Mutations important for ribosomal functioning and antibiotics resistance, Bridges (Intersubunit bridges), ABS (Antibiotics Binding Sites), APE (PTC site, sites interacting with A, P or E ribosomal sites and regions stabilizing tRNAs)
H-bonds: Number of hydrogen bonds
SASA: Solvent Accessible Surface Area
